"I Shall Salute the Sun Once Again ..."

"I Shall Salute the Sun Once Again ..." is an event
celebrating the life and accomplishments of Forugh
Farrokhzad. The event will feature a presentation of "Khaaneh
Siaah Ast," a film by Forugh Farrokhzad and "I Shall Salute
the Sun Once Again," a film by Mansooreh Saboori on the
life of Forugh. Mansooreh Saboori will introduce and briefly
discuss both films. The evening will also feature the poetry of
Forugh. The event will be presented in both Farsi and
English.
The event will be held on February 21, 1998, 6:30 - 10:30 pm,
at the American University, Kay Spiritual Life Center, 4400
Massachusetts Avenue, NW, Washington, DC. Tickets cost
$10.00 and proceeds will support the 9th annual Iranian
Women's Studies Foundation (IWSF) Conference,
Washington, DC, June 26- 28, 1998.
