Wednesday, September 12 3:40 AM SGT Iran's Khatami condemns wave of "terrorist attacks" in USTEHRAN, Sept 11 (AFP) -Iranian President Mohammad Khatami on Tuesday condemned the wave of "terrorist attacks" in the United States, state television reported. Khatami condemned the "terrorist" attacks and "expressed his deep sorrow and sympathy with the American nation," the state IRNA news agency added. "On behalf of the Iranian government and the nation, I condemn the hijacking attempts and terrorist attacks on public centers in American cities which have killed a large number of innocent people," the moderate head of state said in the first reaction to the attacks from Tehran." |
